We set the tone for the day with our every encounter with a loved one with dementia. If you are smiling and at ease, your loved one will be at ease. If you are tense or anxious, they will be filled with anxiety. People with cognitive impairment may feed off of your emotions and it will behoove you to embrace this notion.
