Thursday, February 28, 2019! This day organized by the Alzheimer’s Association of Colorado is designed to shed light on the need for our legislators to fund more research and programs for our friends with diagnosis, and their caregiver’s. Hundreds of us involved in the care of people with various dementia’s will convene on the halls of the State Capitol of Colorado to share our views and the need for serious attention in this area.

Dr. Rebecca Edelmayer will lead the charge for our group. She is the Director of Scientific Engagement at the Alzheimer’s Association. She leads efforts to accelerate to scientific agenda of the association through research education. In addition, she manages initiatives uniting researchers and clinicians with leaders of industry and government agencies on various topics regarding Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

Our goal is to meet with legislator’s one by one to explain our own personal journey’s and what changes we need to see in the future to improve awareness and care for those living with these diseases.

I am proud to be on the team to push forward in the fight against Alzheimer’s and I will make sure the voices of my #Caregivernation and my #Friendswithdiagnosis are represented and heard!
