If I hire home care for my loved one, can I take the cost off my taxes? If I sell my parents’ home, who’s name should it be in and what will I owe to the IRS? What is covered with long term care insurance? When am I eligible for Medicare? We have no money but need memory care, how, when, where do I apply for Medicaid? Is there a support group for me & my person with dementia? How do I get through the upcoming holidays peacefully? Will family understand how far the person diagnosed has progressed? My grandparent has been scammed! What do I do? Would telling my local police department about the person in my home with memory loss and giving them a picture of my loved one be helpful? We have all these questions and more, don’t we? Good news, this blog and the one next Sunday will address most of the questions and tell you where you can find the answers!

As I search the internet for help for my mama, I spent hours searching for information and 40 different sites trying to figure it out. I felt frustrated and no one seemed to be able to help. To make it worse, every time I called some of the offices I found on the web, I couldn’t talk to a real person. I found myself talking to the electronic voice on the phone, “Great! None of these options fit and I have to hang up and call back to see if: Press 1 for… Press 2 for… would even remotely come close.” Oh!!!!!! And I can’t even count the countless hours sitting in a government office only to find out I didn’t have the information I needed with me. Another day off work and nothing accomplished. The lady at the office SAID this paperwork was self-explanatory and easy – REALLY????? EASY for WHO????? I am totally confused!

My husband and I spent A LOT OF MONEY on home care only to find out after Mama passed away, that we didn’t need to live with her to get a tax credit for the hard-earned dollars we spent on home care. That is one reason why I have made updates to my website that will answer those questions and much more!

On OCTOBER 15th, I am unveiling the BUNDLES section of my website www.summitresiliencetraining.com which will have experts answering our questions in a way that you will understand. I asked everyone who is submitting a bundle to write it as though they understand the WAY YOU FEEL and HOW THEY CAN HELP! I am so excited! You will not find information like this anywhere!

Next week I will tell you more about what you will find on the Bundles site as we count down to OCTOBER 15th. I already have many resources on my website so go on and look! Tell your friends! Please sign up for my email distribution so you can receive my monthly newsletter as I keep you up to date on news and information you need!
